I normally like to try and support the businesses that advertise on RJ.com, but does the site need advertisers so badly that we're selling adspace to Compatible Partners? E-Harmony (you know, the Mormon-owned, Focus on the Family-supporting, homophobic-by-definition, hetero-only dating site) was forced in the settlement of a discrimination lawsuit to form Compatible Partners. I don't really think we need to be sending our cash to support a business that forwards it on to political groups fighting to strip us of our rights.

The RJ admins really need to tweak their advertising settings. I believe the last faux pas was an anti-gay marriage ad showing up in the forums. Another awful one was some gay dating site for gold diggers. icon_lol.gif

    Hi guys,

I've blocked compatiblepartners.com. We use google to serve our remnant ads and can block individual domains if we're alerted that they're showing up on our site. Please write in when you see offensive ads like this.

    Thanks,

    Chris

Holy cow, the Compatible Partners ads are back and they brought reinforcements! There were even two animated Compatible Partners ads simultaneously framing my inbox on here. Did they get unblocked, Chris, or are they coming from another domain now?

Heh, thanks for the adblocking tips. For the record, all the browsers on my PC are locked down. I only noticed because I was using someone else's PC. I just don't want to see good people on a good site sending business to the wrong type of people.
