i'm a short guy at 5' 7" and 32 years old. i don't complain about it. i even tell the truth about my height and age. it's not a shame or wrong about me being short or old age.
some of my friends are about same height as me, but they denied being short. they claimed to be around 6' tall which they are not, and lied about age younger than they actually are. i realized that a lot of guys are sensitive about being short or older age.
i mean, what's up with that?? guys are men, not women~!! lol

maybe some guys measure their height in foreign ruler. i heard that Canadian ruler and American ruler both have a bit different measure in "inch". is that true?

do you lie about your height and age? and why?

I fib about my height and say Im shorter than I am. Im close to 6ft6 but always say 6ft4, since the stupid questions that come when people find out youre really tall get very old.

i don't lie about my height, but sometimes i say i'm in my late 40's instead of my fifties. tho guys don't seem to have any problem with my real age now. for some reason, i have more opportunities with guys now that i am in my fifties than when i was in my late 30's or early 40's. maybe it's a confidence thing.

I'm like 5'8" and 1/2 without my shoes on, so if I tell people I'm 5'9", does that make me a liar? :X

This I've never understood. I can see lying about it online, but what happens when you meet offline.

    Don't tell me you're 6 ft tall, 160 lbs and 35 when in reality you're 5 ft 7, 185 lbs and 47.

I won't even comment on the whole cock size thing. Really...no really?icon_rolleyes.gif

I had a friend who has an ex that lied about his age. He told my friend he was 5 years younger than his actually age. They were together for 4 years. My friend found out by looking at his driver's license one day. I found it astonishing that they were together for 4 years but it was never revealed. I was always curious about why he never wanted a big celebration for his birthday. My friend broke it up shortly after he found out. I think he wanted to break it up anyways and just used that as an excuse. Its okay cause his ex was hella troll looking.

Anyways, no I do not lie about my age or height. its lame. don't do it. it is almost as bad a using someone else's picture.

My age and height are correct here...and I know what you mean about age, Keith. There are actually people in this world that believe people don't live past 40.......you'll find lots of them in Orlando.

It's a great feeling to be wanted for what you are, even when you are not what you wish to be.

At the end of the day, tempering your stats may give you more hit (not really sure), but will also expose you to difficult time if when the other guy found out, because you will never, never again been trusted as honest.

I would say that lying on age/weight/size is good only if you are after sex and not romance, and if you are cold hearted enough not to care about what other thing about you, or insecure enough not to have a choice but do it.

I'll confess: I round up my height to the next whole inch. I don't do it out of vanity so much as brevity; it's so much easier to say "five foot eight" than it is to say "five foot seven and three quarters".

    quoted for truth from minox:

"It's a great feeling to be wanted for who you are."

That's what I want and vice versa

Oh dear, I am sure when you are in that bloated time of the month, you raise that quarter inch.

I would think trying to answer the question of whether you have a mustache or not would be your greatest difficulty. Just saying.

Hear you ;-) At our age, what we are is an accomplishment. And you specially have full right to be proud of yourself.

But it's more difficult for youngster, where there is still a lot of social pressure, and young people thinking they can be proud about what nature give them.

I did nothing to be 6'3, I will never feel proud of it.
I did nothing to be 48yo, except managing to stay alive. I will never feel ashame about it.

I had to work hard to learn English, so I take pride in it.

Really? I don't think so. How many men try to show a woman or gay man the length of 8" by holding up a pinkie finger? When I was dumb and young I fell for it all the time.

Thanks for posting this thread. I have made a thread about my height because of how sensitive I am about it. I think I am 5'4. I don't see what the point is of lying about my age or height. If i meet someone in real life they are going to find out. I would rather have someone like me for the way I am even though I am sure a lot of guys just pass on me because of my height but I guess that is their loss.
