What do you do for living? I'm currently unemployed, maybe due to the fact that I'm still in high school. icon_wink.gif

Also, is it hard for you to be openly gay at your work place? Did anyone discriminate you for being gay?

    Part Time Retail Slave.

Retail doesn't really discriminate against being gay, the people around you may though. As a matter of fact our company just opened enrollment for civil unions/partnerships.

I'm a Buying Manager for a construction materials distribution company and martial arts instructor....

I'm currently in the works of trying to open my own academy, plus trying to pursue a new job next year as a program manager at a private university that a friend of mine owns.

I work as a veterinary Technician for a small private practice. And yea, I'm not openly gay there. There's a lot of people my age who wouldn't care, but it's all women, so if one finds out they all will in a day. It's run by older women who are incredibly conservative, and I feel like it would just be awkward if I were to publicize my sexuality at work. So I leave it be.

oh, and I'm a full time student... and there, anyone who asks knows.

I'm a surgical RN in the operating room of a large trauma center/teaching hospital. I work with surgeons and residents in all specialties and am completely out at work. I've never experienced any discrimination. Most educated people nowadays don't care. There are always going to be ass holes but, generally, you command respect in life. I don't mean by being aggressive about it, but by showing respect to others. Humor and intelligence go a long way, as well. If you're unapologetic about who you are, people are more inclined to respect you.

Travel professional here. I book lots of vacation packages to Las Vegas, Punta Cana and Cancun.

No discrimination based on sexual orientation.....the only discrimination my workplace promotes is for those over the age of 40.
