CBS color commentator just said "Some Major Wood Being Laid on the Field" in the third quarter while my team the KC Chiefs got intercepted by the SD Chargers (runback was called back BTW).

Is that an appropriate homo erotic phrase being brandished on broadcast television? icon_eek.gificon_question.gif

Thats almost as bad as the weatherman that reported nine inches of snow near Boston, then leans toward the camera and says, "almost as big as me." icon_eek.gif

Sports innuendos are the best. icon_lol.gif

Jets coach during press conference: "Brady was hot, but he couldn't be bargained for."

Announcer during Jets game today: "he had his hands on half a dozen balls today"

    Oh yes. I went there.

Sportscasters get away with lots of stupid statements that might not be quite up to a smell test.

This may be apocryphal, but the female news anchor leaned over to the male weatherman after his winter snow forecast and said (on the air) "So Bob, what about that nine inches you promised me last night?"
