Topics that anger you and how you positively deal with those people.

I will admit I am not up to date on current issues due to trying to make my own life work. Nothing incenses me more in these topics with people calling other people idiots just because of the difference of opinion.

Yes I tend to be on the other side of the fence with my friends in conversations but I have found that unless I am educated enough in the topic I usually do not give out my opinions anymore. It has helped a lot.

I do find myself reporting people on here for their downright scary way they have to demean or threaten another person just so they can feel like they win and argument.

I will also admit it takes all the strength in my body to not respond harshly to those in here who decide to take that route. I can't keep feeding that hate so I have to do my best to just let the post die with me and just not read it or post to it.

I also tried to ignore the posts from certain individuals, but I just want to ignore that post and the poster. I wish RJ had a feature to ignore just the post and not the poster. I seem to find myself reporting people for going to far in their posts.

I realize the ultimate way to combat the hate is to get to know the individual and why they feel the need to express their inappropriate anger and hate towards other individuals.

Sorry for the rant, but I felt like this was therapeutic enough to post this instead of inciting drama in a specific post.

Happy holidays to you all and wish you the best in 2011.

Yep, unprovoked personal attacks are a hallmark of the RJ liberals. It's true! I defy you to find a post from one of the few RJ conservatives on here that is an unprovoked personal attack on an RJ liberal.

And it does absolutely no good. I've used the "Report Spam" and also gone to individual member's profiles and used the "Report Abuse" feature and I never get a response back from the site admins, and the offending RJ liberals continue to post unprovoked personal attacks on those of us who express a differing point of view.

I will say, though, that I never get to the point of being "angry" or "upset" with anything that I read here, or that is written about me in the forums, or in a nasty email sent to my RJ inbox. After all, this is just the internet.... in the grand scheme of things, it's not important at all. icon_wink.gif

Exhibit A: SB uses a post calling for more civility to personally attack RJ "liberals." icon_rolleyes.gif

Liberals are not "a person" and my comments dealt with unprovoked personal attacks, i.e. one RJ member attacking another specific RJ member

Thank you for admitting that what you did was actually worse. "Liberals" are persons whom you have condemned as a group, while - as usual - not holding your conservative brethren to the same standard.

I'll agree with much of what you say in this one Christain73.

I myself who has had a number of threads created just to bash and insight towards one. too repress and abuse too. But since one is secure in my own self, they have never been able to hurt me either.

I am entitled to my political view, certainly if they are containing to gay topics as a pure homosexual; the real thing.

Yet SB has also been a target time and time agian, dew to his differing opinion and I've seen the pack of wolves here go after him too.

If these people who love to attack and abuse, where more secure in their own philosophy, maybe diffrent opinions would not seem like a threat to them, and they would not feel a need to abuse in an attempt to repress either?
