the local nissan dealer has a very clean, 21K 2010 toyota camry sitting out front...red with silver/gray interior.

i checked it out yesterday (car dealers are closed here on sundays)..looked great! only a couple of minor parking lot door opening nicks.

i called the dealer this morning...the fukka are asking $19K for this used car!

a brand spanking new, zero mileage one can be bought for less that that! when i mentioned this to the "customer service represenative" the biotche hung up on me.

are people REALLY this uninformed, this stoooopid, this gullible, to fall for prices like this????

What trim was it? Depending on the trim/option, $19K for a 2010, with 21K miles. Sounds typical. At least here in the LA area. But if you were serious, you could have negotiated the price down. Probably $17K out the door.

Used cars are loss leaders at most dealerships. They're just used as honey to attract the flies and upsell you to new a car. See, they tell you the car is $19K. You scoff at the high price for a used car. The salesman sympathetically agrees with you and says he doesn't control the pricing. Blah blah. Then he tempts you into buying a brand new Camry for only a few thousand more. Once he gets your interest, you might as well bend over and hand him your wallet. icon_lol.gif

I love buying cars. Haggling is fun.
