How much weight to gain before toning?

    I am in the middle of bulking. I'm 5'10" and am a hardgainer. Eventually, I want to be lean (below 10%) and around 165 lbs. Right now, I am at 166 lbs. and 14% body fat. I want to gain some more weight and then lean out for about 12 weeks to my goal. How much should I weigh before I start to lean out in 12 weeks to 165 lbs and below 10% body fat? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    I think you measured wrong. There's no way in fucking hell you're 14% bf.

    Math is your friend! But if you aren't math's friend then use the FFMI calculator http://www.naturalphysiques.com/tools.php?itemid=28

    If you will be 165lb at 10% bf then your lean mass will be 149lb. Right now your lean mass is 143lb so you are 6lb muscle short. Unfortunately I don't know how much fat you'll gain along with the muscle or how much muscle you might shed while cutting.
