I wanted to see it in IMAX 3D. There's only one screen in town that has true IMAX. I tried buying tickets online on Monday for Friday's showing, but they were all sold out already. So I bought them for Sunday, and have a couple friends going with me.

I've been very much looking forward to seeing it, but I've read several reviews that say it just flat out sucks. icon_cry.gif

    Here's to hoping they're wrong!

Eh, Glitch Mod is kinda silly.

20 years from now a Daft Punk concert will sell out. 20 years from now no one will remember who The Glitch Mob was.

The soundtrack is incredible. Daft Punk outdid themselves. Ebert gave the movie some flack today, but I'm still going on opening night. The light cycle trailers are incredible!

Thanks for the review dfrourke. I was on the fence but the trailers looked pretty sick so I'm gonna check it out tomorrow. It doesn't hurt that the main star, Garrett Hedlund looks hot as hell.

Personally I think DP's music is so tired, where GM is a fresh sound. The only reason DP concerts continue to sell out is the focus on the stage show over music, IMO. Much respect to what they did, but I'm so bored of them.

So I just saw it and loved it. I think you have to see it in IMAX 3D since the visuals and sound are the best part of the film. At points it seemed like Daft Punk's score was overshadowing the movie because it's really amazing.

I do wish there was a bit more action but it's overall a really solid movie. I'd give it a B+ or A-.

saw it today, never saw the first one, but went in with an open mind because my boyfriend wanted to see it and I thought it was a solid movie. Give it a B, we saw 2D because I cant stand 3D and still was impressed with the visuals

I saw it yesterday on IMAX and 3d and thought it was amazing! Although I would have liked to see more of a battle in the grid, it was still awesome.

I checked it out myself yesterday and have to say I was somewhat disappointed. Of course it was very visually stunning and beautiful, but the plot, dialogue and acting fell flat on its face. I'm a huge Jeff Bridges fan, but his performance was the worst I've seen of him in years. I have no doubt the flick will make boat loads and will be a big box office smash. But overall I was left with a hollowing disappointment that this new Tron paled in comparison and was a cheap thrill compared to its 1982 predecessor. icon_cry.gif

Oh and one more thing. For a movie named "Tron" there was all but about 15 seconds of seeing the actual character Tron. Come on Disney, couldn't you have found a way to keep Tron in the sequel without turning him into a mindless, forgettable and unremarkable bad guy who never took his helmet off? icon_sad.gif

Loved it, loved some of the homage they did to the first movie. Loved the visuals. Loved the acting. It's was a pretty intense movie and was definately a good sequel to the first. Left a lot of things open which is good..

They could have possibly had more grid games, however what they did have in the movie was enough for me. Visually, the movie was great, the soundtrack is great. It would have been great had they did something with "bit" from the first movie. I don't think a lot of people liked Bit the same way i did heh icon_smile.gif

Hahaha I just got back from watching it and I thought it was good. The CGI in the movie is soo good, I was so impressed with it. There were some cheesy moments I have to say in the movie, like the star wars part at the end when they are fighting. Also, im confused at the ending since I thought quorra was a isotope or w/e program so how can she exist in the human world??!

Saw it on IMAX 3D last night, it was epic, as was the music.

Garrett Hedlund is damn sexy too. icon_cool.gif

Justin Boreta's mom gave me bus fare in London, so I feel obligated to like Glitch Mob...

I thought the movie was terribly boring, and I've been stoked to see it for the last 6 months. You'd think with a $150m budget they could hire a decent screen writer or two! I'm afraid the theater I saw it in didn't have the brightness up high enough, because the contrast was total crap.

I really enjoyed the movie. I had a few complains regarding the story, and how they apparently love to introduce all kinds of juicy backstory, build it up to something, and then leave it wide-open and worthless at the end. All in all, however, I enjoyed it, and that's what really matters. icon_smile.gif

I can't wait for it on BD! icon_biggrin.gif
