Being Latin, means being an extremely jealous person.. Im sure all the Latino's on here will agree...

We get jealous of everything and everyone... every friend you have, will cause a Latino to be jealous....

Probably its common to all humans, but Latino's and mediterraneans specifically in my experience, really employ jealousy in their day-to-day dealings with their partners, express it freely, live it passionately, write whole novels about this ugly green monster that rips families apart and leads clans and factions to war with each other with tragic and dramatic consequences to all concerned!!!!! BEWARE THE MONSTER JEALOUSY!!!

So yeah I get jealous... I dont like it myself, its bitchy... what do I do to dispel it? What do YOU do when you get jealous? Or your partner gets jealous? What kinds of stories do you have involving the green monster?

Hey don't feel alone buddy, I don't think Latino's have a corner on the Jelousy market at all. you should mix with a few redneck "good ol' boys' down here in the south. Go out drinking and you'd better not say hello to one of their 'woman', or you'll get some bear looking guy standing in your face asking "YOU MESSIN WITH MY WOMAN" ? Many a fight starts that way here.

I've never understood jealousy. It's an emotion that's completely foreign to me...never have experienced it.

Here's an example: my brother was dating a girl from Colombia... this girl was so insanely jealous that every girl he talked to she became livid.... not even talked to, every girl that LOOKED at my brother... at a concert my brother was playing th edrums.. my sister was watching and cheering and yelling his name... my brother's girl, who had not met my sister, lpractically attacked my sisters like a cat, claws and fangs out and everything... she seemed to go psycho over everyone that gave my brother attention...

Thats an example of how NOT to deal with it... now any examples of how to?

Probably means your extremely self-secure... I have an elder sister who never gets jealous either... she simply is too secure in her relatonship to experience it...

thats actually an important clue to understanding the emotion of jealousy.. as an expression of insecurity ;) Now, how to deal with it lol

    That could be it...extreme self-security.
I guess the best way to handle insecurity would be to constantly remind yourself that you have nothing to prove. People are going to either love you or hate you. If the person you're jealous of hates you, then the jealousy is useless because it won't change how they feel. If the person you're jealous of loves you, the jealousy will change how they feel.
