I wonder what our Caslon has learned during these 2000

He certainly ranks at the top as one of those I enjoy talking to. Congratulations David!!!

    oh the pressure....

In 2000 posts, I have learned...

there are a lot of over 20, over 30, over 40 year olds that can't figure out how to get a boyfriend

guys of any age will discuss the most mind-numbing topics

sports is not of the greatest interest for discussion on RJ

RJ has developed into a true community beyond my expectations at the beginning

and the guys here were willing to keep giving me support during my cancer treatment from the very beginning of RJ

so keep looking for Mr Right, talk about whatever strikes your fancy, throw a bone to sports once in a while...and enjoy participating in this great RJ community.

P.S. Over 50s dont even rate a discussion in this community... icon_lol.gif

We of the 'Over 50' club bow to your prolifically amusing and witty commentary.

I guess we might as well be chopped liver. Do you see the over 50s getting much attention?

I wonder how many of us there are on RJ. Maybe by the 50s guys quit trying to keep in shape. Give it the old "ah, to hell with it." ... icon_lol.gif

That aint gonna be me. By the grace of testosterone rising and the help of my PT, I shall return!

Me get a job! May I point out that it was HK who had nothing better to do than watch my posting count! .... icon_eek.gif

I got a job. When I came home with cancer, my boss told me to only work when I can. How is that for a boss!!!

I went into the office on Wednesday, the first time in about a year and a half. I expect to be out for the rest of '08...I want the testosterone to get up there and have my brain stabilize so I can endure stress. I slept a lot of Thursday away because of the trip to the office the day before. I expected that.

I cant tell you how much RJ and you guys have been a life line for me during this time.

I dont know the 2000th post either.

I was 1999 when HK mentioned it. I dont know that I posted again until I did in response to HK's posting.

I am trying to remember...not at all my strong suit nowadays....but I think I had a posting mysteriously not show up on RJ and I had to do it over. Maybe that missing posting was my 2000th...wouldnt that be ironic!

I'm not sure why anyone would choose to "give up". Surely, as we age, it is more important to keep moving, rather than less so. Our bodies are less forgiving. Even though I am in good shape for my age, I get aches sometimes I never had before--fortunately, they do go away--and I can't operate on the same two hours of sleep a night I sometimes got as a young'un, but I have all the energy I used to, and I wouldn't like to see that diminish.

I plan to exit this world the way I entered it: kicking and screaming.

You could do that, too. (Altho I dont know what a Zimmer frame is)

I can put forth great effort in the gym with my PT...I was leg pressing 360 lbs + sled weight...with great effort. But I was doing it.

Then when it comes to anything aerobic, where I have to huff and puff, I fall apart. I had my lungs and heart check by the general doctor and they are fine. But I have a LOT of work to do to get up to speed with breathing.

Seriously, do you feel ignored? You are one of a very few people on here that people always speak of with respect and fondness. If YOU dropped off this site, the threads about your departure would fill volumes, and they wouldn't be snark-filled, either.

I've long been convinced that my number is inflated. Seems like I logged on one day and the number had shot up. Maybe I was getting up in the middle of the night and writing hundreds of posts in my sleep.
