My old Bose SoundDock is broke so I need to decide on whether to get the Bose 10 or the Bose Portable SoundDock. Has anyone owned both? The company is giving me a discount on a new one so I'm only looking at these 2 models. I'll most likely go to the Bose store and listen to both, but I always find these forums insightful or at least funny.

I'm quite happy with my Bose Companion 3 system...never owned the SoundDock, though.

We've got one of those Bose Wave Radio CD players, and it's impressive how such big sound can come out of such a small package. From the descriptions on the Bose website, it looks like the Bose 10 has that same waveguide technology while the portable does not. So, on that basis, I'd go for the Bose 10 to get the bigger, richer sound.

Yeah. I'm leaning towards the Bose 10 for sound. Although I like the portable feature of the other one, and it would be $200 dollars cheaper than the Bose 10. But if the sound quality is significantly different between the two I'll go with the Bose 10.
