There's this girl I met during this event. We had great fun together and we exchanged contact details, so I've sent her 3 emails since we met ( 6 months ago). She has replied to all saying that she didn't have time to meet up for drinks or going to the club, because she was so busy with school. I am just looking to become friends, I am gay, I am not interested in her sexually or so. Should I tell her that she has nothing to worry about? Maybe she thinks I am trying to hit on her or something... Or should I just let it go.

haha i think you should just be honest with her. from my experience girls really like honesty (and gay guys) haha. so i mean, i dont see how it could actually hurt the situation.

When making friends with females I just try to be up front and tell them very early that I'm gay.

Mostly out of fear that they may fall in love with me like so many of my female friends did during my teens.

So even though I don't think she's avoiding you because she thinks you like her and that she just truly may genuinely be busy at the moment, it still couldn't hurt. Right?

Haha, I am not that fun type of gay guy that girls like unfortunately. Besides, I am not out, so I don't wanna shout it out whenever I have the opportunity. But I might tell her, because I really like her.

@Halfstep, see above about me not being out, but I share your fear. Except we both have different reasons. I am afraid they'd think that a freak like me is interested in them, I am not afraid at all that they are attracted to me LOL. That's surely not the case. Yeah, she's doing a postgraduate course as well, and we are both very busy with that, but still, just a coffee or night out with friends. Anyways, let's hope for the best.

Yes, sure - tell her you're gay and that you just want to be friends. There's a chance she'll still blow you off, but there's also a chance she'll be relieved that you're not hitting on her and may actually want to hang out with you sometime.

hahah Keith is right. I don't think she'll change her mind suddenly just because you told her that you are gay. hahaha She has more reason not to go out with you BECAUSE she realizes that you are not interested in her. You can't find yourself a fruit-fly this way. They are of different breeds, they can smell out the closetted gays.

    LOL!

Thank you all for your comments, I appreciate it. I was just getting a bit insecure because girls generally adore me.
