Christmas

As we all know, some families exclude their gay children from family Christmas gatherings. In addition to this, families refuse to extend their hand when their children who are GLBT are in need. This is particularly damaging to the health, both physical and mental, of these individuals.

I ask that you guys do your part -- as I am going to do -- in remembering and reaching out to your follow GLBT friends. Remember and help those individuals you are unemployed and in need this Christmas. Regardless of what you think of Christmas from a religious perspective, you can celebrate the unconquerable spirit of Homo sapiens by reaching out.

    Merry Christmas to all!

We invited a bitter queen out to dinner, we both can barely stand the guy, but know how depressed he is and thought it would help cheer him up...does that count?

    Yes. icon_biggrin.gif

Ever heard the song with the lyrics "..walk a mile in my shoes..."?

Sometimes listening is what you need.

Many guys here have reached out to me.

Recently, I started a post about being alone during the holidays with some bad memories of Christmases past. Several posted back with suggestions from volunteering to getting totally plastered that day! I really appreciate all of the kind words and made some new friends because of that post.

So, conservativejock...ol' "liberaljock" here appreciates your concerns here for those that are less fortunate and might view this time of year as depressing and gloomy.
