...except for Macy-P... you can walk home bitch icon_wink.gif

But seriously, I did miss you guys. I have a whole bunch of messages on here to sift through, but I know my departing was rather abrupt. Everything is fine by me; I just needed to take some time off of RJ to focus on things.

The past four months have been very busy. I taught my new course at the university on the animation of WWII, got promoted to head baker at the bakery (between the two jobs I was working 60 hours a week), wrote two books, got a series of poems published and a paper on the construction of homophobia amongst "straight-acting" males (I should post that on here sometime), applied to 17 Ph.D. programs, fellowships, and a Fulbright-- all the while putting together my master's thesis, working out, and creating the seventy-fourth issue of the literary journal I edit (it's an awesome issue featuring a variety of great poems, short stories, and essays, so if anyone is interested in reading the work, please subscribe to CutBank )

So between all that on my plate, I really didn't have time for RJ. You guys are awfully addictive (in the best way), and I had to cut this site off so make sure I had time to do my stuff (also left facebook and some other sites, so apologies too if you missed me on those). I have about six weeks before I go into my self-imposed seclusion again (one more semester before I finish my MFA), so definitely say hi while I'm back. But if I missed any important moment in your life, didn't respond to your messages, etc... I'm sorry. You guys are always in my thoughts and I hope all has been well by you in my absence. Much love.

Welcome back. I have missed your insight on several different threads. Plus, it is nice to see an familiar face. icon_biggrin.gif

P.S. Congratulations on all of the accomplishments.

    You call THAT self-promotion?

In the last four months I finished my four doctorates, invented a new strain of "Haiti" rice (which grows on crumbled brick), illustrated my ninth graphic novel, produced my new CW television series (think Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets That's So Raven--sure to be a hit), auditioned for the next season of So You Think You Can Dance (and they want me to do their next season finale choreography, regardless if I win), helped found Facebook AND the internet, and surpassed Martha Stewart as biggest homemaker/craftsy/cook/entertainer/media-conglomerate with the launch of my new 2Mice network.

So, I think Calibro's a bit of an underachiever.

You mean gayly-forward. Don't throw away the word straight on a gay fitness website sir. It's demeaning to MY priorities.

see, i have no idea who you are. obviously, this message wasn't really for you as much as it was for the guys whom i am friends with and haven't spoken to in a while. to them, i was merely meant as a quick catch up of what i was up to in the last four months. if you think having a successful life and telling you close friends about it is self-promotion, perhaps you should refrain from entering the conversations not directed toward you.

possibly if you consolidated your tasks like submitting poetic bread recipes for straight acting muscle marys to the fullbright foundation you'd have some more time for RJ.
otherwise i'm concerned you don't even have time to j/o and shower afterwards.
