...that the Republicans are going to get their asses handed to them on a plate in 2012.

They have put themselves in an impossible position. They can't cut spending without cutting programs that will hurt their supporters.

They will either keep spending which will get them in trouble,

Or, they will slash programs that will get them in trouble.

Either way, they are doomed 2 years from now.

southbeach1500 saidWell, if they behave like they did during 2000-2006 when they spent like Democrats then yes, they are doomed in 2012 and so is the country.

Well that's the first time I ever heard you say that Republicans spent wildly. You say the Republicans spent like Democrats, yet I can't think of anytime the Democrats spent as wildly as the Bush years, on 2 wars we didn't need. Or on Wall Street bail-outs begun by Bush that Obama continued, to keep the economy from totally tanking.

More of your revisionist history, perhaps?

I think you need to step away from the computer and put a cool cloth on your head...icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks for confirming that I hit home. You only attack me personally when I score one. icon_biggrin.gif

If Sarah Palin runs in '12 the GOP stands no chance against socially minded voters. Which means only those who feel Obama and the "Socialist Liberal Democrats" are taking away their freedom by this I mean the Tea Party will vote for the GOP-TP.
