I often don't enjoy comedies, but I liked this one. First scene has Ben making a video for a dating service and having his straight friends recommend him. This is from Netflix:

Actor, fitness coach and pinup guy Ronnie Kerr draws on all facets of his far-flung career for this charming autobiographical tale about 35-year-old Ben (Kerr), who finally meets Mr. Right (Scott Gabelein) -- and then discovers how much they don't have in common. Director Devin Hamilton touches on monogamy and other related lifestyle issues in this playful comedy about relationship building in the contemporary world.

This is one review from a Netflix member that I think is pretty accurate:

This film actually surprised the heck out of me. It started out very much like so many other gay romantic comedies, which is not to say it was bad but simply not that special. But the longer I watched, the more I found myself smiling and enjoying the characters. Then it turned a bit dramatic when the one great disparity in personalities between the lead characters became a real problem for their futures together. I'm sure some folks won't like or appreciate how things worked out for the couple, but I thought it was very well done and certainly realistic for quite a number of couples, whether straight or gay. One note, there is full nudity but it fit the storyline and didn't seem gratuitous to me at all. You must check out the special feature that shows a bit of background on the making of the film. I found it funny, entertaining, and quite informative. It actually made me appreciate the film even more. A very strong 3 1/2 stars for this one.

Netflixing it now...so far (10 minutes into it) it reminds me of half the guys I've met in Wilton Manors. icon_lol.gif

I'm really not surprised it didn't appeal to many people here.
The quote "honesty is more important than monogamy" would confuse a lot of people here. icon_wink.gif

What I meant was I think it will appeal to many members if they see it. I was thinking that most guys here have not heard of the movie.

This film actually had some of the most horrendous acting out there, but it is a very low-budget film... icon_neutral.gif

I ended up skipping through most of it- when I first watched it.

In some cases, the "bad acting" was part of the comedy, for example in the case of the guy whose dog ate the condem. But everyone to their own opinion. I've never read anything you ever said positive on any topic.

Yeah, I do think it would appeal to many, if they take the time to watch it.
Maybe mentioning the frottage scene - complete with boners grinding against each other - would help. icon_wink.gif

That's because I'm trying to balance the system. icon_wink.gif

I would've had a different tone if this thread was about Eating Out 1/2- not 3- or even Another Gay Movie- but not the sequel.
