So as much as I adore meat, I often get grossed out at the amount of chicken fillets and the like gym boys have to go through. I'd say I'd be blown away to find out how many animals I've gone through in my time. Anyway, I wrote this for some meat free alternative to building muskels for those interested - and would be interested to hear any more tips.

Great article. Always nice to read about protein rich alternatives to just eating meat constantly!

BTW the link has realjock.com embedded into it and has to be removed for it to work.

Yes. Another great complete protein alternative to meat is quinoa. It's quite versatile for cooking and really good. I actually prefer using it to soy-based products.

I've been a vegetarian for the last decade. I find TVP is a great thing to turn to. Lentils and cheese are awesome too.

I've been a been a veggie for about 10 years now and really like it. I also spend 12-15 hours per week training (about 70% cardio stuff) I do eat fish maybe once a week, but all the rest of my protein comes from nuts, seeds, beans, cheese, eggs, etc.

Great article! Yeah i've been a vegetarian for 20 years now. Started early due to religion and the whole family becoming vegetarian when i was 10. I got used to the diet but didn't really start lifting weights until about 2 years ago. Broccoli is good too!
