Did you go after what you truly wanted when you were younger?

Everyone has dreams or aspirations: become an astronaut, rock star, or an Olympic athlete. My main question is if you could go back in time was there something you really wanted to try and make happen or do, but you didn’t at the time.

I would've had that threesome with the extremely hot couple that I was too shy to say Yes to at the time.

I always wanted to be an archaeologist when I was a little kid. I went to field school in college in Arizona. I'm so glad I did it.

That's awesome it's great to see people happy and living their dreams. I think the world would be a much better place if everyone could be in a career they enjoy. It would make reatail shopping a lot easier.

Actually what A1991 would be interesting, but no I don’t have anything I would change even bad things that happened to me made me a stronger. I am at the age where I feel it’s important to go in a direction that I’m passionate about. That’s the main reason I wrote this as a topic is to see what others had to say. I don’t want to end up in my 70’s wishing I tried X, Y, and Z. If I could go back in time I maybe would’ve talked to my Grandma more although I talked to her everyday on the phone and saw her several times during the week I wish I had more time with her while she was alive.

Hehe- this is probably the only place I ever admit this in...

But in HS i was kinda fat. I knew I wasn't going to date anyone at school, cause I was not out. Sooo, that kinda depressed me. I was with others who felt they were different and didn't fit into the norm or jocks, etc.

I told myself that one day, I'd go away for uni, I'd come out, come back to my home town with a ripped body and all the people who didn't know my name would know who I was. That I would be respected.

I did that. And when I went to a party in my home town, people didn't recognize me. When they figured out who I was, it was kinda cool for a second. They talked at how big I became. People who didn't really acknowledge me suddenly requested me on facebook that night...

Didn't feel as nice as I thought it'd be. Kinda felt disgusted in myself that it was a goal in my life. I stopped going to my hometown even though I was invited to parties. I realized I didn't want that. I do it now for myself icon_smile.gif

Also- I wanted to go to space as a kid. I'm an Aerospace Engineer. Just need to get out there into space icon_biggrin.gif

So we're not so different after all icon_razz.gif not having anything to go back and change I mean just actually doing something more ha. Yeah it was interesting what he said, but that requires going back in time 10 years for me (cough cough cough) I'm too old to go back that far (cough cough cough) too many hormones will kill me. Great topic and be strong

I always put off doing what I loved to be the most, because if I failed at that, that would be the ultimate failure.

Having re-thought that idea, after years of working in a field I fell into and never loved, I did finally pursue doing what I loved and felt the most happy doing.

Now I regret all the wasted years where I wasn't doing it.

However, I am happy that I am now finally happy with the work I do, to where it's no longer a "job."

Pursue your passion always and never, never, never listen to anyone who tells you you're just a dreamer.

The fu*king world IS yours for the taking. You just have to believe it is, and it will be.

I had a tearfully frustrating crush on a guy in high school. Was far, far too shy to act on it.

The good of it was that it emboldened me to puruse my goals from then on. Both in terms of romantic pursuits and other substantial things, ie, career, travel, etc.

As they say: you cannot win if you never play. Go for it!

Absolutely depends on what it was..... if it was scholastic related, something I understood and a venue in which I was comfortable, I went for it... if it was foreign or something not encouraged by my parents or others, it may have gone by the wayside... I think as I grew up, that changed.

Fitness was one of them.. how things change!

Nah, not really. I was shy most of my childhood and really up until the last several years from now. I ended up seeing the couple again a few years later and hit on them. It was a bummer, both of them drove me crazy, with one in particular. He was almost my height, bearded, late 30s, amazing muscle-cub build. I walked up to him and his partner at a bar, put his hand on my ass while I put my arm around his partner, and told him "I really need you to take care of that for me." His partner wrapped his arms around my waist, my stud pulled himself up close to me, spit in my mouth, slapped me on the side of the face twice, and forced my face down, smearing it up against his crotch. I got a nice big whiff, worked my mouth around his bulge a bit, stood up, and started sucking face with his partner. He walked up behind me, and I could feel his hardening cock rubbing against the back of my jeans through his. He leaned into my ear and told me "it'd be a shame if you didn't come to Montreal with us tonight." Wouldn't you know it? I don't have a passport. Had to turn them down, and moved away before ever getting to play with them.

The bastards gave me blue balls. I still plan to take it out on both of them at some point.

I worked hard pursuing my goals and most of the time I won. I've had a great life. The only regret - that I didn't stay for my MBA. I know they're not so valued sometimes, but personally I would have appreciated having it, just for the sense of accomplishment.
