even though i have to be at work by 6 am (e.s.t.), i'm going to nap and wake up to watch the lunar eclipse. i need more poetry in my life, and the eclipse will bring the music of the spheres into my maya-riddled existence.

    gooooooooo me!

It's already started. It will peak (be at its reddest) a little after 3am EST.

I saw it an hour ago for a little bit. It was half red and half white, floating right above Orion, rather pretty I must say. Kind of magical icon_smile.gif

wow. the eclipse was so worth getting up for. there was such a lovely stillness when the moon reached totality, a stillness i have not felt in years and had forgotten was possible.

of course at this point, my mind was racing with various metaphors to assimilate these images and the cornucopia of emotions i was experiencing, and i would elaborate further, but i really need to get ready for work now.

i will say, at full totality, i thought of the latin words:

    "et lux in tenebris lucet"

(and the light shineth in the darkness)

what a lovely day this will be. icon_biggrin.gif
