If you're trying to exercise yourself skinnier it won't work. The exercises you listed will help a little bit but 90% of it is going to happen through diet. That's not saying you should stop the cardio, it has other benefits to it as well. So the short answer is eat less and eat healthy.

Totally correct. You can exercise morning, noon, and night, but if your diet is out of whack you'll just keep gaining (or at least NOT losing)

    Don't eat sugar.
    Don't eat grains.
    Don't eat rice.
    Don't eat potatoes.
    Don't eat corn/maize.
    Don't eat legumes.
    Or anything with those ingredients.
    Turn off caps.

ummm... that is terrible advice. What's left to eat other than meat, which will not make you thin. If you go by this you won't have a balance in your nutrition, which is has a bigger impact on your weight and health than avoiding carbs. Brown rice and whole grains are great parts of your diet. Plus they help you feel full. Legumes are also a huge nutritional source and they add protein.

Eating less is really a great way to start. Eating nutrient rich foods and limiting fat, processed foods and sugar.

Leanness is about calories being right, and about managing the insulin response.

Well I got news for ya: Fitness ain't instant. You can't pop yourself in the nuker and become fit.

The ones in bold are worth considering (especially the sugar). the rest, not so much. Perhaps watch the glycemic index of your foods, but total exclusion of all these foods is not necessary.

You are wAsting your time eating the typical processed sugar and carb diet and then trying to burn it off with cardio exercise. You will Never get anywhere. Cut out all man made food products and you will become naturally lean with moderate exercise. No treadmills or gyms required. Everybody has conflicting opinions . Forget the opinions and eat and exercise like primitive humans and your body will reward you with leanness and good health.

Another method is to find a lean dude that is not using the cardio equipment befriend him and copy his behavior since there are huge mental blocks that stop us from behaving in ways we need to reach our goals. Copying behavior is a way to maneuver around our blocks.

I think you're really cool Bens77 but I just have to be facetious.
There's this new-fangled thing called vegetables and fruits (and seeds and nuts)! They have heaps of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Replace everything I listed with a veggie dish and you will definitely lose weight faster.
Some extra comments to that tho. No dried fruit, no salted nuts or seeds, and every day eat more veggies than fruit.
Legumes.... For one thing they have some funky chemistry and secondly it's quite surprising how many of them actually have a very high carbohydrate content with only 10-15% protein.

I think what most of you guys are ignoring is that this dude is off to the beach in a month and he wants things to go faster than they are now.

Oh, and one thing more. Cutting out very carb-y foods can give you something usually referred to as the low-carb flu. It goes away on it's own. Google it.
