Just joined RJ. Looks like triathlon posts sort of drifted off. Anyone out there with 2011 plans? I'm in for San Juan in march, the boulder tri series and hopefully 70.3 worlds in Nov. (qualified this year but hamstring issue kept me out.)

I just kind of cherry-pick which races I want to do; got tired of pin-pointing races a year out and then sitting by the computer in the attempt to sign up for races before they filled up. I'll figure it out in the spring and see what motivates me then.

I have 3 races on the calendar and may sprinkle a few more in there once the season starts:

    Boston Marathon in April

    Ironman Couer d'Alene in June

    NYC Tri in August

I went back and forth on Costa Rica vs San Juan vs Mallorca. I landed on San Juan. No other takers out there? I'm jealous of the Costa Rica option. Want to qualify for Vegas early and do full Vineman in July. So many races and no trust fund.

For shame. Why would you pick San Juan over CR?!?! (I may be a little biased)

By the way, there are 16 triathlons (not including x-terra tris) on the race calendar here in costa rica this year! (not bad for a country the size of West Virginia!)

i'm thinking about Honu 7 June. as Hawaii is part of my work territory. and good month after IM St. George.

don't worry about the snow, the turbo makes you strong (www.teamtbb.com) and yeah...leave that HR monitor off icon_smile.gif

i have heaps of friends in boulder that are them. even with good weather here in socal, i'm on mine 2x a week.

Unfortunately, due to prior travel/work plans, the only tris I could sign up for only offered sprint or half distance (I'm doing the sprints!).

June 19 - Victoria, British Columbia

July 3 - Vancouver, British Columbia

    July 17 - Gravenhurst, Ontario

After that, won't be doing any tris for the rest of the summer, but will instead be training for the Whistler Gran Fondo - 120km bike from Vancouver to Whistler on the Sea to Sky

I have my first proper tri of the season coming up on the 3rd of July. Just a sprint, since I've only recently made a return to the sport. Race report to come soon.
