It hurts a lot. I jammed my thumb nail when closing the trunk yesterday. I can see a lot of blood underneath my nail. What can be used to relief the pain?

A handful of Vicodin washed down with a bottle of Jack.

thanks for the advices, i cried like a little girl during the last couple of days, the pain was seriously annoying, I couldnt even sleep. I had taken 5 advils and nothing, 1 Tylenol Three and nothing, cold water would relief the pain for about 5 minutes and that was it. I didnt know this shit could be so fucking painful for real. I actually even considered cutting off the whole thumb jeez.

After the doctor drilled those three holes in my nail the pain disappeared in about hour or so. So thanks timberoo for that advice. Apparently the blood stuck under the nail was putting a lot of pressure and lifting up the entire nail trying to find a way hence causing so much pain.

    btw, Merry Xmas! icon_biggrin.gif

I'm glad it helped. It happened to me once and I did it myself with a dremel tool. You're probably going to lose the nail, though.

OOOH that's so freakin cool when that happens.

If it comes up right you actually have to pull it out because the entire nail has come off it's bed and the nail goes almost all the way up to the knuckle which is freaking awesome!!!
