but i don't know where to start, i've had a couple jobs in the past (telemarketing) nothing that i can really put down as experience for a more stable job and i since i'm still in school i don't have the qualifications for anything other than minimum wage jobs. I know a lot of people are in my position but things at home have gotten unbearable and i really need to get away from my parents and family, i'm scared about my mental stability if i stay here, i don't know how to get out

Be a model. =) And move to New York with me. I'm in the same situation as you. Also, we need to make the YouTube video I was telling you about so that you can become a YouTube sensation. ;)

College? That is how I got away.

Oh and I mean a college where you have to live there and can't just drive to class from home.

I am sorry to hear this man! I would not recommend you to do porn, and don't rely on modelling alone. I've never been in your situation, but I remember when I was 16, I wanted designer clothes and my parents did not want to pay for it, so I had three jobs (telemarketing, waiting job and cleaning job) while in high school. My determination just got me through, really. I didn't do it for longer than a year though, but maybe you should just try and do some long hours for a while to escape your situation until something better comes up. Good luck!

The military is paying for one of my roomie's education & rent (nice place not cheap). I'm told it's 30% "populated" you, w/ your good looks will not ever be alone.

I suspect however, more-likely you'll win a major league surfing contest, instead. Great good luck, regardless; ...I know about parents.

jprichva saidHave you thought of committing a serious felony? That'll take you away from home, very likely for many years.
Or they'll make you the governor of Florida.

Man up. Your goal has to be to obtain an education and in that process begin to develop marketable skills. This becomes even more important if you are having issues with your parents because you are gay.

This may suck, but besides finishing school, try working two jobs to save money. Telemarketing obviously places you in customer service jobs; look for retail stores, apply as either stockperson or sales. Or work in banks or be a grocer, they pay good wages.
If you can handle two jobs and school, youll be independent, just pe patient.
Good luck man, keep in touch. icon_biggrin.gif

I agree with both the above two messages about focusing on your education and getting jobs. Check out this link:
    http://goalsettingforstudents.com/
We help students and young adults (14 – 25) learn about these important life skills: goal setting, respect, determination, conquering their fears, responsibility, setting priorities, minimizing excuses, educational ownership, making better decisions, taking action on your dreams, developing a positive attitude

Just responding to you being scared about your mental stability. Recommend three things:
    1) Stay busy with school, work, and getting material such as in the link above.
    2) Stay in touch with people in your area you can talk to.
    3) If things seem to be going bad and you are feeling more depressed, get local assistance immediately. Don't hesitate to start a thread here. Just don't wait until you're feeling desperate.

    AMEN TO THAT!

well try to transfer to a farther school? or find a job with a decent salary and move out with roommates and take night classes maybe. I have a couple of friends that moved here from the east coast that are independent and work full time and go to school full time. If they can do that, so can you.

    This.

Will make good friends there, have education and accommadation paid for. Will give you sufficient time to think of where you want to be once you leave the forces and what you want to achieve in life. Plus, I think it will mentally toughen you up to.

Keep trying. It is quite hard to find jobs right now given the situation this country is going through right now.
Otherwise you might want to consider the military like what Paulflexes said. Hes right.
