My regular gym is closed for ten days now so I dropped in somewhere else.
I ran on a TRUE treadmill, smooth, quiet and loved it! The incline goes all the way up to 18% and it even has a decline feature to -3%.

It made me think of treadmill suggestions for my regular gym with crappy equipment. What brands do you like?

The chain of gyms I go to have Life Fitness cardio machines. The treadmills are fucktacular and I hate running on them. They're not smooth; many of them feel jolty. Perhaps they're just not serviced enough? Oh, and most of the ones don't have the function where you can enter the speed you want to run at and it automatically starts to change to that speed - you need to manually press the up or down button. Normally that doesn't matter but when you're doing sprints or trying to mix up the speeds it's a pain in the neck.

    Anyway, stay clear of those!

at my gym, they suck also. They're kind of new, but very plasticky.
Forgot their name, cyber or cybex whatever.
you run with that deafening waaaangwaaaaaangwaaaang sound from the rollers.
and some of them are not even balanced so the feel shaky.

    hardly use them now.

what was the name of that quiet TM ?

Treadmills are tools of Satan, I am convinced.

    Carry on. icon_smile.gif
