Yeah, Its Christmas Day....I'm 20 years old, yes i wasn't supposed to drink alcohol at this age. But who gives a sh*t? in my homeland, 20 years old is considered legal. lol, anyway here's a short story..

I was curious ...so i asked my dad if i could "drink" one beer, My brother-in-law was there and told me that it tastes like soda(it got me even more curious); so my dad really suggested i should drink one. so yeah...i took one bottle aaaand, yeah it was awesome O_O...it does tastes like soda(Sprite). LMFAO!. the brand was....
    Bacardi Silver: Mojito

I'm glad it was only 5.5% alcohol, cuz if it was 80%(like my brother-in-law drank), i would be buzzed and acting stupid. I got a sip on another beer(Bud Lite: Ice), it was disgusting which made me ill a bit. Anyway, Merry Christmas!!!!!!! Bottoms up, im goin to drink another bottle later. icon_biggrin.gif

    bacardimojito.jpg WOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

P.S. Not goin to be a drunkard. icon_smile.gif

My father let me sip beer and wine before I was a teen, and I thought they were dreadful. I wonder if that was his strategy, to make me not want to drink it?

If so, his plan worked until I was 18, and then I forced myself to drink, as all my friends were doing. It was legal in some States of the US in 1967, the universal national drinking age not becoming 21 until around 1972 or something. So I got a relatively early and legal start.

Mickeys and Old English 800 were a couple of my favorites back in my young days. A couple 40s and drunk for just a couple bucks.

My first drink ever was Everclear and coke. I was then soon introduced to the Captain. We have been friends ever since.

I think it's adorable how you called a mojito 'beer'. Hahaha! If the bud lite made you sick wait a while before you get into the stout and dark beers ;)

    But yes, mojitos are delicious!

    Merry Christmas!!

I started at 16. Drank mixed drinks in cozumel (it was a stop on a cruise I was on). I was never a good kid when it comes to drinking. Me and the toilet have become best friends over the years. I like to think I have grown up though...somewhat... icon_eek.gif

I tasted red wine at the age of 16/17.. I thought it was so disgusting I literally spat it out straight away... then at 18 I began having it with food and I learned to adore it... It is still my first drink of choice if I can choose, for the taste...

by now I have learned however, that its much easier to drink beer if you are not eating, and that whisky is preferable as it leaves me with practically no drunkenness or hangover, whereas wine gets me dizzy and hung over fast

I grew up in a Roman Catholic house. My brother and I got to drink wine on Thanksgiving and champagne for Christmas and New Years with our parents as far back as I can remember.

Me thinks you meant 80 proof not 80%
A shot and a half of 80 proof whiskey would be about the same alcohol content as a can of regular 5% beer

My first drink was actually with a bunch of friends on a marching band trip to the Holiday Bowl in San Diego, haha! icon_lol.gif

Yeah, I was underage at the time, but whatever. SoCo was my first taste of booze.

Yeah, it was a milestone I guess. But alcohol in general has never really wowed me too much. I'm not a teetotaler by any means, but I only really drink in social company, and even then, not that big an amount. I've never once binged. Likewise, I've never actually gotten full on "drunk", just tipsy at best.

    Rednecks-R-Us
I started driving a Tractor on the farm when I was old enough reach the pedals without falling off the damn thing. I think I was around 7. I would be baling hay all day during the summer. My Dad was about as Redneck as you could get. His ideas of making me a man/manly were inane. He would bring me a cold beer and beat my ass if I couldn't drive straight after. Wine was for Pussies. Rednecks... aren't they fun!
