when i go months of eating clean and working out religiously, i lose little to no weight. and it's not because im gaining muscle mass, as a weekly routine usually is about 4-5 hours of cardio and 90 minutes of weights.

on the other hand, when i go a couple months without working out (at all) and don't pay attention to what im eating (although am still cognizant of quantity) i end up weighing the same or even a bit less.

i understand that there are other benefits to working out and eating well than just losing weight, but i wish the results were more visible.

does anybody else experience a similar phenomenon and/or have an explanation?
