WORST role models of the decade

OK I know the decade officially ended last year, but...

2010 is coming to an end; it seems that the behaviour of celebrities, athletes and politicians just keeps getting worse and worse. Our kids, and the kids of our loved ones, are looking up to these people!! Which of these individuals should just be tossed to the lions, already?!

Vote for your choice for WORST ROLE MODEL OF THE DECADE, and explain WHY.

It was a tough choice for me, but I vote for:

    Ann_Coulter_551041cl-5.jpg

    ANN COULTER

Flippant, potty-mouthed right-wing pundit who slams liberals and minorities in her infamous speeches, seemingly, just for attention. Among her quotes:

"Ironically, since Obama was elected, for the first time in my life I'm sometimes not proud of my country."

To gays: marriage "is not a civil right - you're not black."

Talking to a disabled Vietnam vet: "People like you caused us to lose that war."

    (Dis)honorable mentions:
Carrie Prejean, Rush Limbaugh, Chris Brown, Mel Gibson, Lindsay Lohan, OctoMom, Rod Blogojevich, Paris Hilton, Courtney Love, Brett Favre, Dr. Laura)

    NEXT VOTE...

I laughed too. Somehow Anne Coulter, Glenn Beck and Lady Gaga meant all republicans. O.o

Re; "Let's just save time and say, "Any and all Republican" and be done with it"

    Oh, SB, so typical.
You whine about people being mean to Republicans, and then you post a comment EXCLUSIVELY slamming Democrats.
You need to make a New Year's resolution to try to work on your hypocrisy problem.

And the person who destoyed our country over the last 10 years is GEORGE W. BUSH.

Wait, how did Obama destroy the country? The country's fine right now...other than health care.

I'd vote Sarah Palin worst role model. An opportunist, poorly developed intellect, integrity, sense of duty, Thrust into a prominence far disproportionate to her abilities, apparently vindictive, and wrapped in hubris.

For worst role model or worst hairpiece?

For hair that most closely approximates "Boehner Orange."

It's a toss-up between Beck and Palin. They're both traitors.

Oh yes, growing up to Speaker of the House, a congressman or the President would be terrible.

I'd say Beck, if I had to choose.

I disagree about Beck; he has a "role" and he plays it to the hilt - that of provocateur. He is an entertainer in the manner of a bete noir jester. For anyone wishing to go into the entertainment field, there is much in his formula that could be emulated effectively.

In terms of what he has set himself up to be, he is successful. Ms Palin on the other hand is trying to present herself as a viable political candidate and would-be kingmaker. (In that latter role her success has been very limited). We would not want young women to follow her lead if they would enter politics and be effective.

If you used your position as they did to destroy the country then yes, that is terrible.

LOL. That's ridiculous. Your brethren are responsible for most of what is wrong with the country.

I vote for the junior palin bitch.

Too dumb to use birth control when she couldnt keep her legs closed and now teen moms all across the land look to her as their heroine.

Then ends up on a dancing show, and was easily the worst 'performer', and actually ended up even chunkier because she cant say no to food (or a hard dick).

Why couldnt she have been the one to take a class trip to aruba......

If by "role model" you mean for a child to emulate, I would say in general it is BAD to have ANY ATHLETE, ANY POLITICIAN, ANY ACTOR, and most public figures...as a "role model"...

Oh, independent voters? Well, yeah, I guess so, because it was thanks to us that the Democrats got control of Congress in 2006 and the Presidency in 2008.

YOU claim to be an "independent voter", SB?
    HAHAHAHAHAHA!
    An "independent voter"?
    NO way.
