I braved the elements again and ran out on the university bike path for 6 miles. It was really cold and my face and hands were freezing until the 2 mile mark, then I felt better.

Tried a new speed workout today from Greg Mcmillan's treadmill workouts:

    4sets

    1/4 mile easy jog
    1/4mile tempo pace for 15k
    1/4mile 3-5k pace

It was lack lustre compared to the Yasso 800's I was planning to run.icon_neutral.gif

I'm curious to know what other runnners here use for speed training.

I also don't understand how your knees don't die because I get tendonitis after about 3.5 miles, but I was a breaststroker and probably have an abnormal gait. Runners have very nice body fat %...

I am currently in Kauai, and found this great trail known as the Ke Ala Hele Makalae -meaning the path that goes by the coast- currently is not completed so far 4 miles have out of 16 miles when is completed. Its amazing to run so close to the beautiful and prestine ocean. I did the 4 miles and it was great, I have not had a chance to download my time, if anyone ever gets into Kauai I definetly recommeded
