    Greetings,

I've been a lurker around here for a little while now, figured it was about time I posted something.

I'm on my winter break, and spending way to much time reading up on various exercise regimes, since I can't actually get to a gym (and need the break from training, as much as I don't want it).

I've found German Volume Training, and want to give it a try in the new year. But, I live out in the boonies - middle of nowhere, to be exact. I'm lucky enough that the fire department I volunteer with has a very, very nice gym, so equipment is accessible. I'm used to working out 5 or 6 days a week. GVT appears to be only 3 days a week. I'm trying to find a way to adapt it to 5 or 6 workouts a week, so that I don't go stir crazy not being able to go to the gym.

    Any suggestions?

I suggest a full profile (with pictures) and waiting several weeks before deciding to make your first post so that I don't think you're fake, and that way I'll really answer your post.

Go with the program. Or find another with more splits.

GVT is intense and probably should not be done over 5-6 days

TBH 6 days a week weight training is not ideal as your body needs to rest

    +1

Dude, according to your profile you're not in the middle of nowhere. You're just minutes from the most gay-friendly place in Arkansas.

Put up some fucking pictures. Nobody there will give a fuck.

PS. If this is who I think it is, fucking call me bitch.

Or someone who actually knows what the OP is talking about and isnĀ“t a sourpuss might reply

I have no problems being honest - the location I put in the profile is fake.

The login ID I've chosen has nothing to do with anything - I have a different one for every site.

I use TOR (The Onion Router) to connect, so that my IP address is untraceable.

    I will never post pictures.

I work in IT. Security is paramount, and I'm paranoid.

If that offends anyone, well, not much I can do. But, at least I'm honest about it.

For the replies that were genuine, thank you. I suppose I'll just have to learn to find something to do outside of the gym. I did find a few sites that advocated GVT workout routines that use a 4 or 5 day split, but the results seemed to be considerably less than the 3 day split routines claim, and since I'm a fairly hard gainer to start with, I'll give the 3 day routine a go.
