I haven't weighted myself in months...I rationalized it as scales aren't the true test of body fat....I told myself...use your vision to judge yourself...Well dumb ass me....I got it in my head.....WEIGH YOURSELF DUDE.....I got on those scales....mother fucker...it said I was 184.....before I was 175....I freaked....I got out my caliper.....still 9%.....don't get me wrong...I did partake a little...but all in all...I was a good boy....One Of my supps is creatine....Could this cause me to retain water??????.....I'm not saying I didn't gain a little from eating but please...End of rant....If anyone would like to comment...I'd be grateful...BUD

Haha, opposite of me. I'm always upset when the scale says less than last time.

And yes, creatine will cause to you retain water.

I've always wondered how much I should care what the scale says. This week I've been working out vigorously for 2 hours per day trying to get fit. And as a result I've gained two pounds.

On one hand, the scale doesn't tell me how much weight gain is from muscle (which I think has to be the case). On the other hand, excessive weight gain can be bad for the body since it causes more stress and lead to obesity. I think Americans focus more on muscle weight rather than keeping fit. We therefore consume more protein and carbs than other countries. But smaller fitter bodies are healthier in the end.

    I feel your pain.

No matter what anybody says pretty much every doctor on the planet will weigh you when you first walk into their office. It IS important to also monitor and manage how much we weigh.

I got sick 2 weeks ago and gained 8 pounds in just over a week. Ugghhh!!!! 6 of those pounds are gone now but still.....

You should keep track of you bely size, measured at navel level.
It goes up and down directly linked to body fat level, unlike your scale.
It' won't give you your body fat%, but it's a lot faster and simpler than callipers if you just want to make sure you are not putting fat on.
