I'm not lactose intolerant, but I've been wondering if drinking almond milk is a healthier choice compare to skim milk.

I've tried it and it tastes kinda sweet to me.. I've also given up milk before for about 3 months and I didn't noticed a chance BUT when I started drinking it again my tummy felt better.

I don't think I could stand drinking almond milk. Just not a fan of nuts. Well almonds, pecans or walnuts. I drink 8th Continent soy milk. Tastes great.

Unsweetened almond milk over skim any day. 40 cals per cup, healthy fats and protein minus the sugar that they put in skim. I use it in some of my protein shakes and have some before bed. Good stuff. I avoid soy since it raises estrogen levels.

Almond milk for sure!I found almond milk to be a tad salty and strange texture. Therefore, I prefer Unsweetened Coconut Milk by So Delicious. I mix it with my protein powder. Oh so delicious.

whats this talk of skim milk having sugar put in it?

Skim milk is produced by removing the fat and nothing more, additions of sugar and such would need to be placed on the label.

Here in australia milk is milk there isn't anything added to it.

I am addicted to So Delicious Coconut Milk. It's not like the stuff they sell in the can...very mild coconut taste. They sell it in cartons with the refrigerated soy milk products. So Delicious also makes a creamer for your coffee and yogurt (though I am not a big fan of their yogurt...it's not very creamy)

    Full fat UNHOMOGENIZED cow's milk.
Possibly unpasteurized, if you can find a reputable local dairy farm to deliver.

It is nature's perfect food, and your body cannot break down the fat.

If I am going to drink milk, I go for the whole stuff, not the watered down sugar water that they pass off as "healthy" skim milk...but coconut stuff is a legit non-dairy alternative: http://www.turtlemountain.com/

I misspoke, while there is no added sugar in skim, it still has sugar in it, whereas unsweetened almond milk has next to none.

Pardon my manners while I ask this question .... does anyone found that almond milk tastes like diluted cum? LOL ... Kinda gross .... That is why, COCONUT MILK is my primary choice. Never a cow's milk fan ....

    cheers

    Really interesting stuff!

Almond Milk is somewhat thick so it is a bit weird drinking it, nothing I can't get used to but this coconut milk sounds delicious. Is it regular coconut milk? Or is anything added to it?
