Drugs are tools, like religion or government. It is for what you use it for. How you approach it is everything.
really? cuz im pretty sure noone ever sold their ass for their government or religion.
Many things have been to asses in the name of governments and gods...
everything yer saying is fucking dumb. you can be cryptic and poetic or whatever you are doing all you want but i dont think you have any real life experience with drugs so thats cool, im glad. i wouldnt wish that on anyone. but romanticizing drugs is bullshit. drug use gets real ugly. noone approaches heroin bein like yeeaaaaaahhh i cant wait til my veins collapse and i shit my intenstines out cuz i cant get dope and i rob my mom! so no, how you approach it is actually really nothing.
I have a past, like others, that involves drugs. I was the exception though, and I have to remember that. I was doing coke til two in the morning in high school and going in the next day and still getting 90% on my history exam.
I mean to stress only that how you approach something is the best indicator of how successful you are with it. But it was different for me, as it is for everyone; the experiences are absolutely native to their personality types.
But I stress it to this day as well, there is no more direct a route to ruin than drugs. And as you say, no one with any hope for life goes into drugs expecting ruin. I have friends that know ugly and I learn from them, perhaps more so than they learn from themselves.
I have no control over others, I can only give my word and my advice that how you approach something-- if you catch yourself in Lalaland not wanting to leave, you're fucked. Simply fucked. Above all, drugs are powerful, and to understand this is to be have a humility that we don't all have, barely of any of us have, which I think is what you emphasize, and I can respect that totally.
