    Hey guys,

I want to start making my own pasta, and wanted to know if anyone knows of a good maker to use.

    Thanks.

I love making pasta from scratch. I also make my own sauce as well, and simmer it for hours. It's fun and worth it once you know how great it tastes. Are you looking for a manual pasta maker, or an electric one? If you're looking for a manual one, almost any will do. They sell them in specialty kitchen appliance stores, and you can even find them at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. If you're looking for an electric one, I've been looking at the Roma Express pasta maker (picture below). I haven't used it before, but from the reviews it looks sturdy, and is a nice red color to match a modern kitchen. Again, I haven't used it before but that would be the electric one I would get if I were looking for one, judging by the reviews. Hope this helps.

You could try the KitchenAid with the pasta attachment, or just make the dough in a food processor and then roll/cut it on a pasta cutter like Atlas or Imperia. Watch YouTube.com for videos.

    Best,

I think villaware makes one, their other appliances are great.
