Unfortunately I'm working overnight this fine evening. I noticed an unknown car parked in the driveway approx. 11:30PM. I come from a high crime area and am not okay with this.

I called my boss of whom said to call the police if I didn't feel safe. Seconds before the police show up two people walk from the house next door and get in the car.

Obviously he had been drinking because the driver got arrested, the passenger was escorted back to the house next door, and the car was towed.

I think that just ruined someone's year. Happy New Yearicon_sad.gif

BTW-The back door to my work is broken and cannot be locked. I cannot carry my gun to work; I've asked.

There's no excuse for driving drunk, sounds like you might have saved some lives to me.

Anyone could have reported the car. icon_wink.gif You may have saved a pedestrian's life, or another car full of sober people.

So you potentially saved lives, Happy New Year!

Your were concerned for your safety and kept a drunk person from driving...no need to feel bad about it.

    ...

Or maybe the confluence of events helped save lives. A drunk driver on the road is like a gun in the hands of a maniac.

    You did the right thing.

Now go have a safe and Happy New Year!

My recovering coworkers said the same thing this morning.

Finally home from my 17 hour NYE shift of screaming adolescents and behavior plans, but time and a half+holiday makes me happy. That pays for all my cosmetics for six months+a dermal fillericon_biggrin.gif

The neighbors hate our business even more now I'm sure!
