I don't think I want to do what I am in school to do

So I'm 28 years old, finishing my last year of graduate school. I'm getting my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and am starting my last semester of my internship. I graduate in May and I am realizing I have spent all this time and money and I don't think I want to do it.

I always knew I wanted to work with people but I'm starting to think this may not be the way. I was wondering how many of you have been through something like this? I think I know what I would really like to do. I've been interested in this other career since I was a kid but I guess I'm just unsure about everything. The other career I'm thinking about is law enforcement, I'm pretty sure I want to be a cop.

Which brings me to my next question. Any gay cops on here? Any advice? Members of my police department march in the city's gay pride parade every year so they seem to be pretty tolerant.
