My dearly beloved English bulldog, Jarhead, is down south breaking in a new au pair. Jarhead travels with me most of the time, but he hates hotels, and as I'm hotel bound, he's at home.
I received this frantic message in Spanglish that Jarhead had made his way into the pantry and tore the bottom out of one of his chow bags. Oops!! I suggested she allow him to choose which bag he wanted to eat from. He is picky after all and just learning to interpret Spanglish. It seems that after the au pair performed a little sweeping they agreed he could eat from the bag he had, sort, opened.
Today is Jarhead's bath day. He is a dog that thinks he is naked only when wet. He doesn't mind his substantial parts showing unless he's wet. Then he gets all bashful and tries to hide. Lol.
As luck would have it, another message arrived around 3:18 PM. Jarhead, who has his own custom bathroom in my house, refused to walk the little short ramp up into his tub. No matter the coaxing by the au pair, he refused to enter the tub. (He's a straight doggy and the au pair is apparently not supposed to see him naked, err, wet.)
I suggested she get one of the little plum switches from the pantry and show it to him. Apparently he promptly got over his shyness and entered the tub.
Hopefully she brushed his teeth.
I have no idea how the evening meal is going to go. Breaking in au pairs is difficult work for a bulldog.
