Well I'm 5'8" since it's not 6'0" that makes one short enough. But maybe not short enough to have ducks disease.

I post myself as 5'8" but with age I'm shrinking, closer to 5'7" now.

But here's a story about height. In 1973 as an Army Lieutenant I was at the Officers Club of Ft. Gordon, Georgia, with my best buddy, another Lieutenant who was around 6'4".

And as we stood there, I noticed the mirror behind the bar. It reflected this giant and this little midget standing next to each other, a totally comical pairing. I literally jumped away from him.

He asked me what I was doing, and I explained about our reflection, and how ridiculous we looked together. And that I had never realized now much taller he was than me.

"That's because you don't act short, Bob" he replied. "You act as tall as I am, and so I never think of you as being shorter, nor do you."

Well, WOW! He gave me an invaluable lesson I've carried ever since.

To all you short guys like me, you're only as short as you think you are. From that day in 1973 onward I've never again thought of myself as short in dealing with other guys, nor do I imagine most of them think of me that way.

I stand tall because I think tall, in more ways than one. Don't ever be intimidated by height differences.

5'8 I guess I'm short. I need a 5'5 or shorter to have him sit on my lap and feed him baby food. ^-^

I love guys who claim "short" at 5'7" and 5'8"

I'm 5'4"

They don't actually make dress shirts for my tyrannosaurus arms. I have to get them ALL tailored.

wow. i'm 5'3", but i carry myself as if i were MUCH taller (like 5'5" or even 5'6" when i'm feeling particularly snarky).

and i'm a tad bit heavier than most of you guys around my size (from my informal survey, anywhere from 20 to 50 pounds heavier). i'm not really fat (well, okay, maybe i'm 'gay fat', but not 'regular breeder' fat).

but i don't really consider myself short unless i'm looking to buy pants (that becomes a huge ordeal for me since i have these tree-trunk legs and this big old bubble butt).

i prefer to think of myself as 'industrial-strength concentrated, in a convenient, pocket-sized, take-home carrying package'. and yes, i spent years coming up with that description. my height (or lack thereof) used to really bother me when i was younger, but not anymore. i really like me now.

i'm like yoda, but not as tall. HA!
