Yes it contains alot of Carbs; Yes, It's bad if i eat it everyday (cuz im very prone to diabetes). And my reason? It makes me not upset/sad, also, makes me feel like I'm alive and not dead. A chocolate bar WILL make me gain more weight in the future(but who cares?), as long as it prevents me from emotionally breaking apart. icon_biggrin.gif

    P.S. The word "creamy" sounds kinky..........O_O....and "Milk".....LMFAO!!!

Any1 got dibs??? Will eating a chocolate bar lessen your thoughts of sadness?...to trim the "weirdness" of this topic, might i remind you guys that it's like eating a whole box of(cylindrical box or whatever)icrecream after your breakup with the "ex". icon_rolleyes.gif I'm not being contradictory to my statement/opinion, icon_smile.gif. Just sayin'
I'm a ex-Chocoholic men(just got out of Choco-rehab center ;), LOL ), turned back again to a Chocoholic monster icon_razz.gif. Any guilty after-feelings??? Nope. It makes me happy. Mhmmm icon_biggrin.gif, Want some now? I got 3 more bars. icon_eek.gif

chocolate contains psychoactive chemicals (drugs,) the main two being theobromine and caffeine. so yes, chocolate will lessen your thoughts of sadness and lots of ppl think it's an aphrodisiac as well (hense the kinky names.) if you like the uplifting aspect of chocolate and want to cut out the carbs and fat (chocolate actually lessens your cholesterol when it's not ultra processed,) try eating cacao beans instead.

Chocolate, to me, is comfort food. I find that it works best when mixed with high doses of Xanax......icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

The point is this, I love chocolate a lot. I am a borderline diabetic. the point that mkubwa made with chocolate having psychoative chemicals is true however if you suffer from Hypoglycemia or the begining stages of diabetes.. the chemicals you get from Chocolate plus the simple sugars are where the problem lies. The chemicals and sugar will give you the needed emotional boost but the because the simple sugar only lasts a short time in your body it will create a void, and you will crash. When that crash comes it will make you depressed. Its physiological. The chocolate with nuts is adding protien for your body to maintain the extra insulin your pancreas produced to deal with the extra sugars.
I have learned how to meet my "chocolate monster" needs by changing recipes to create more of a balance that my body needs to keep from going through those down times and depressions.
If you can bake. then do so. but change the recipe to decrease the sugars and carbs while increasing the protiens. Increase the number of eggs. Use milk instead of water (evaporated milk is even better). Real butter instead of oil. Peanut butter or nuts of any kind. Any recipe that calls for a cup of sugar can be decreased by at least half. Add nuts or nut flour.

And just so you know... my Emotional breakdown recipe.

Taj...I've been Hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) for over 25 years and for almost all of those years I have taken 200 mcg of G.T.F.Chromium (Glucose Tolerance Factor Chromium) daily and I don't suffer from those peaks & valleys of blood-sugar you mention. icon_cool.gif
    Just an FYI.

I don't take meds. I do my best to listen to my body and am very attuned to when I need to eat and not eat, and most of all what I need to eat. However, I have never heard of this drug and will check it out and see if I can find it over here. Where do you buy it and is it available OTC?

Even I "thrive" on a Cherry Mash occasionally! I feel like a pig at the conclusion, but it's fun.
