I know the typical thing would be to go to Vegas, but since none of my friends are 21 yet and I don't drink, that wouldn't be a lot of fun haha

I was thinking of a birthday dinner out in Hollywood or Los Angeles with a group of friends but I'm not sure.

    Any ideas???

Since I gather you're from Los Angeles, the most fun birthday I celebrated was at SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. We had two cabanas reserved for the party by the pool, and just had drinks and snacks. Close to La Brea where we went and partied after.

(This photo was not during the party but one of our idle days in summer, but just to give you and idea)

    Happy 21st!!! icon_cool.gif

I had a great 21st. I flew to Honolulu to see my boyfriend at the time. We hadn't seen each other in two months. He had wine, dinner, and candles set up on his 23rd floor condo. Then he rode me on the balcony. It was great.

I say for you: Go out to a bar get completely annihilated and play naked tackle. I used to do that every weekend in Phoenixicon_smile.gif

Guys, he said he doesn't drink.

OP: What's wrong with eating with your friends? Go hang out with them and your family. I bet your family is pretty excited too.

I went bungee jumping. It was fun. We drove about 60 miles to there through many small towns reminiscent of the Old West. We had lunch in a small town that had a very Eastern European style of foods.

my "friends" took me out barhopping here in new orleans

got me blott-o on gin & tonic.

i hurled my cookies into my parent's flowerbed in the midnight hour

washed my mouth and shirt out with the garden hose pipe

quietly crept into my parent's house

    slept 5 hours

at college early for a 7 am final exam

    flunked it.

Take an "intro flight" at your local airport.
I did that a few years ago just for fun. Now I'm a commercial pilot. icon_wink.gif

On my 21st birthday I got drunk on tequila, kicked out of two bars within like 10-15 minutes, carried out of bar #2 superman style by my sisters fiance and my nephew (he had a fake id lol) Then woke up in my dads backyard the following morning. No explanation how I got there, but there was a glass of water and 2 aspirin on the kitchen table. Oh and I got my first straight lap dance that night and it turned out the stripper was the mom of a girl I had algebra with in HS icon_eek.gif

Depends when your birthday is. It might be too cold at the moment for my advice, but how about a dinner cruise? That's under 21 friendly. Or if you wanted something on land, there's always the Magic Castle. It's in Hollywood and right below Yamashiro (A Pan-Asian Restaurant) Yamashiro has a great view and some pretty original sushi rolls to check out. My favorite is the Hawaii-Five-O. It has macadamia nuts in it! If you need any help, feel free to hit me up. I feel like i can go on forever with restaurant ideas on here. LOL

Good Luck and Happy Birthday! Make it special!

My roomate at the time and I had a huge party as our 21st birthdays were only one week apart. It was the best party ever.

The highlight was me doing a 30+ -second keg stand and promptly passing out from all the blood rushing out of my head when I stood up after haha. I woke up a minute later though good as new.

Who you think taught me? Actually it was Grandma. Every holiday she insisted we all got a hi-ball (whiskey & 7Up). She was adamant that kids needed to learn to drink socially so they didn't become rowdy, obnoxious drunks. (Grandma never went to college.) I miss my Grandma.
