    Hello,
I have some hairy issues and I would like to know the opinions of gay men. I am really hairy everywhere. In the past I have trimmed my hair in my legs and arms. It looks fine, but when I touch it, it feels thick and coarse. Some friends have noticed this and they adviced me to shave or wax. Now, would it be better to have a bit of hair that feels a bit thick and coarse or to not have any at all. I like guys with a bit of natural hair in their chest, legs and arms. So, i would like to keep my hair but I feel unconfortable knowing that it does not feel soft as natural hair should feel. Now, if I wax it all it is expensive and inconvinient as I would have to do it over and over again and it HURTS. What do you guys think? is it worth it to wax or should I keep trimming it even though it does not feel soft?
Do you prefer a hairy guy or a smooth guy?
Thank you so much for your help.

I prefer a hot guy. Hair is optional. Too much hair can be trimmed. Shaving is prickly.

Well how the hell did you find this site? From googling your options was this the only or best option? I could be wrong here. Maybe RJ, a site for GAY FITNESS, has turned default into a help site for all guys simply because it's the only discussion forum for gays. I dunno. Don't you have gay friends to ask this question to? You live in Toronto for fucks sake, not Afghanistan. icon_lol.gif

Also I personally know people (yes more than one) on RJ who make fake/alt profiles. So I don't know which n00b to take serious.

I should be collecting the URLs for these threads so I can make a thread addressing this. Should only take like a week to get 100 of em LOL

I think it's so funny reading questions about grooming and such from guys with NO face, NO pics, and NO information. Ummmm, how is anyone supposed to answer your questions with no pics. And why would it matter how hairy you are, if no one can see you anyway?

This question comes up EVERY week, often from a picture-less, and sometimes not. It's part of their insecurity / feeling they must seek approval.

The pro-hair guys will rant about you being hairy, and vice versa.

Do whatever you want. Nobody cares. There are 7 BILLION folks in The World. You are but one.

First, to give an honest answer to the OP:

There is no "universal preference" about what should be done or not done about hair. Some will find it enticing and some will find it revolting.

The people you should satisfy are YOU and your partner.

If you have trimmed or shaved, your body hair will feel coarser because you have cut off the naturally taperend ends of it. You can use a hair conditioner after you shampoo and shower to soften it up a bit.

You already know the available methods of hair removal. If you want to, try them one at a time until you are happy with the result. Consult a good grooming salon and do not spend money until you have thought about it.

Now get on with your life.

Second, to offer a thought or two on the posts of noobs asking for help:

I think there are some people who wish to appear new who are not. I also think that part of that group 'gets off' by repeatedly asking questions about subjects they find titillating, such as hairiness, circumcision, penis size or relative dimensions, etc.

I also think there may be some out there who really do want help with their questions. The only thing I know to do is to try to treat them fairly or to choose to ignore them if they bother me.

SO, my advice is to answer the question posed or to ignore the post. Ranting about such posts is neither helpful nor interesting reading.

    Jiminy Christmas, guys.

Since when was it illegal for someone to post a topic on the forums just because they don't have a pic or haven't filled in any information? The forums aren't your own personal playground. If you don't like the topic, DON'T READ IT! Geez, someone's knickers are in quite the twist today.icon_rolleyes.gif

Wow, what's up with the fucking complaining? If there are no photos or the profile is blank, just ignore the thread from the poster if it's such a huge deal. Every thread is filled with non-stop bitching about the same thing over and over again.

    ?? I don't get your logic...ghosts can post whatever they want but non-ghosts can't?

WHO CARES who posts what? You missed my point. Anyone can post anything they want, but the non stop bitching about posts that could just easily be ignored is just plain ridiculous. Don't like it, ignore it. Someone out there MIGHT actually gind some useful information, but it would be awfully hard to find it amid all the clutter from those who would rather bitch about the person posting,

Oh thanks, it's about time the RJ police showed up!icon_rolleyes.gif Because I was about to complain that some people are exercising their freedom of speech. It's a good thing you're here to let everyone know that these forums aren't a playground, but a haughty stepford housewife teaparty in Connecticut.

I have a theory that these first time posters are not new to RJ, but are RJ members who just dont want to be identified with their issue. Therefore, they create a new profile and, voila, their number 1 post. Notice how frequently they dont have any pics or info.

But that's cool. I can see asking for help but not wanting to compromise one's privacy.

Well obviously YOU care who posts what because your "knickers are quite the twist." People who have been on here longer than you get bored with the quotidian influx of n00bs asking questions that have been asked before.

RJ gives people a lot of leeway to express themselves, you included. If you don't like this, then you ignore it. Don't preach something you can't practice yourself. That makes your preach apocryphal.
