Why are most minorities only attracted to white guys?

    I was reading this article about how most minorities chase after white guys and don't find other guys of their race attractive. But it is ironic because most white guys want to stay in their race, which isn't wrong. So my question is why do most minorities want to date white guys but don't want to date each other?

    i think for the guys that do, either they're just like that or it's from watching television. television is more diverse these days but it's still majority white and watching white people have relationships. so it trains your mind to think that way. or maybe just from living around a lot of white people.

    Because when the Europeans invaded countries and took over those countries they imposed their standards onto the minorites.

    White=Good,Attractive
    Non-White=Bad,Ugly

    The slaves that looked closer to a white person were treated better and deemed more attractive than the slaves that didn't look at all white or not even close. Fast forward a few centuries to today and there are still a lot of people out there that believe that in order to be good looking or have something good looking it's white. The reason why this mind set still exsist is because of the Media.

    ^^Rosco and Lennox pretty much summed it up.

    For an interesting perspective, check out the Kenneth and Mamie Clark experiments done in the 1940s. The experiment was redone a few years ago with similar results.

    Some people do all kinds of things to adapt to a white idea of beauty-- hair straightening, hair bleaching, and blepharoplasty.
    On the other end of the spectrum, some white people tan to look less(?) white.
