"In a newspaper interview, Mahoney said if the convention is deadlocked and either Clinton or Obama suggested a Gore-Obama or Gore-Clinton ticket, the party would accept it."

He should have been president in 2000, but I'd rather see a Gore-Clinton... It would be fantastic.

Gore? Only if he promises to run a better campaign then he did in 2000 when he made his best impression of someone made out of mahogany.

Yes, we all like to forget how painful Al Gore was to watch on the trail. I don't think he really wants to be President anymore. If anyone emerges as a compromise at the convention it will be Edwards, without either one of the other two. VP? Kathleen Sibelius or Barbara Boxer.

What the f*ck was he smoking?

Democratic voters are struggling between Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama and suddenly Gore is supposed to swoop up the nomination? How desperate is Democratic Party at committing accidental sepuku by tripping onto its own sword?

Now, Gore as a VP candidate? I'm going to guess that he had his fill with his eight years and I sincerely doubt that he would want serve yet another Clinton. Beyond that, VP-dom would be a step or several steps down from his currently position as internationally recognized environmentalist crusader.

As a prez. candidate, he would remove any pretense of democratic participation within the Democratic Party and the Republican Party would be right in skewering the DP because of it.
