In the wake of the nightmarish, hate-driven actions of extremism that have so devastated and crippled the people of Arizona, and of the United States, it is important to know that free people everywhere still believe in the power of justice not of violence and hateful rhetoric, but of civicl discourse, sanity, fair laws, intelligent debate and equality.

Arizona is a fine state, and the loss to her people today is felt everywhere in this nation.

Stand strong and know that you are in the thoughts of all fair-minded people at this hour.

Felt everywhere in the nation? Bit of an overstatement don't you think?

No, I think every U.S. Citizen is deeply effected by this act of violence and right thinking people across the nation feel the impact. Deeply.

The Congresswoman was targeted on a nationally debated topic that has brought out some of the most vitriolic and dangerous rhetoric on extreme ends both right and left. This is not a local matter. To pretend that it does not have national impact is foolish, at best.

Pardon his ignorance, mcb; if he cant see how this touches and affects all of us, saying he's foolish is putting it mildly.
