i just got back from grand caymen - was diving at sunset house. sick swim throughs and cave systems. got to see the sinking of the uss kittywake which was one of the most badass things ive ever seen but wasnt able to dive the site cuz of weather conditions. also did this really awesome dive called 'stingray city' where i was surrounded by about 12 4-6ft rays feeding them squid parts. awesome island - next stop hopefully is bonaire.

I'm kind of on hiatus until I get a new wetsuit. Can't reasonably squeeze into the old one and the seals are shot on my drysuit. Also there's a slow leak in the zodiac somewhere, that I haven't tracked down.

I wasted last Thursday trying on every brand of wetsuit I could find. None of them are made for people shaped like me icon_sad.gif (The old one sort of fit because it was extra-stretchy) Then I started looking in to getting a custom-made suit and how much hassle it would be.

Then I spent the money on new skis and boots, instead.

YES. I spend 3 months doing surveys on a reef system and got to dive twice a day, got to do some awesome cavern diving while I was there. And did the Blue Hole in Belize while I was there (AMAZING).

Unfortunately, diving is a pretty expensive sport, so I haven't been able to do it too much more. I have PADI advanced open water along with cavern and naturalist certifications, but only dove once last year. If I get some more money I will definitely do some diving this year. Love it.
