I am sure I'm not the only one here that likes cock and Snap On (ok, Pauly, now's ur chance for a wise crack)

Most of you guys know i love all things automotive,,,we have discussed guns, draft, aircraft, etc, but i've never seen a thread on this.

Anyone like this shit or should I go home and pull my own socket?....Keithicon_wink.gif

According to a recent survey by Popular Mechanics, 9 out of 10 gay mechanics prefer Strap-on tools to Snap-on tools.

PS. The first ~10 years of my early adult years (from ages 15-25) my primary income was from construction. icon_wink.gif

Or, to put this in gay terms...

I have one drawer, about half full, of underwear and jocks.
I have six drawers full of wrenches.

I think I'm in love brother. Have two full standup beaches full and workbench drawers also full......................Well there are three of us so far and Pauly is just here to get the beer and fly us around for parts.

BTW, that's why I don't lend tools, even to fucking guys in my shop, my best friend still doesn't know what clean and put away same place, same way, means.....................................Keithicon_rolleyes.gif

the good thing about having a project car is that you can work on it when you WANT to.....not because you have to. icon_idea.gif

Hah. Back in the day, I dropped the tranny and changed out the clutch in my old POS chevy C10, in the campus parking lot. I tried to keep everything tucked in underneath and out out of sight so the campus police wouldn't get too interested.

I got a lot of good exercise, riding my bike around to all the junk yards, scrounging parts for that old heap.

In 1969 I earned a trade school degree as a Master Automobile Mechanic. My mother's idea to evade the draft after I dropped out of college. (She forged my signature on the application without my knowledge, until I opened the acceptance letter and asked what this was) Within a week of finishing I enlisted in the US Army as a Mechanic (actual induction a few weeks later). My parents nearly had a stroke!

I became a Motor Sergeant E-5 within 18 months (nobody EVER did that, for those here who didn't serve during that period). My MOS was Wheel & Track Mechanic 63C until I finally accepted an Officer's Commission after persistent urging, changing my career field over to Military Police, 31A.

So, yeah, I still twist a wrench. Not for a living, but I'm the fix-it at home. My hubby cooks and decorates, and I clean and fix. Together we're a great team, and have all the bases covered. icon_biggrin.gif

    LOVE it! icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks, kind of you to say that! Every gay couple I know, including those great meninlove guys, are teams. You operate as a unit (at least how my military mind still thinks). You aren't 2 individuals living together, but 2 halves of a whole.

I couldn't function very well alone without my guy, and I hope I contribute something that he needs, too. Together we are better than the sum of our parts (no pun).

To me this is HOW you pick a guy, WHY you pick a guy, and WHAT holds you together. Needless to say, it also helps if you love each other.

    I prefer Craftsman to Snap-On.

I miss my dad's garage from where I grew up. He had everything you'd ever need to work on a car. All my friends would come over and have me do work on their cars for them. I swapped out suspensions, headers, exhausts, entire engines, added superchargers, etc.... I miss those days. I haven't had my own garage in years and really miss it.

I just picked up a new VW GTI and am DYING to do a bunch of work on it.

"classics" I'll have to remember that.

I keep two wrecks... Um... I mean classics in the garage as well. I drive one while I'm fixing the other one.
