Especially a gay man like me, ok shape but not as sharp as I was. Yes, I want to look good so I can continue to have hot sex. But I also love to eat well, and frankly have better things to do than workout more than I absolutely have to.

What I want to know is: who here has created a workout/eating plan that's not onerous, works, and permits pleasure in the present and not just the imaginary future.

    Oh my!

That's just a little, what, puritanical?

Jesus Christ man, grow up. We all want to look good, and the reason most of us want to look good is sex. It's not the main point of my life, but it's important.

    Looked into being a diabetic?

    No. Realy. Serious question.

A diabeetic diet having about 60 grams of carbs per meal and then stretched a bit because you are not a diabetic might be a good thing.

Another approach suggested to me by a doctor is The Zone. Head for the library/bookstore for that one. It is based on activity level, frame, goal weight, etc., but actually has pretty good science behind it.

Adding moderate exercise is a part of both of these diets.

The other thing that is important to note is that they are not really diets in the sense of "do this for a while until you lose x pounds and then stop." They are more like 'eating styles.'

    Worth looking into.

Looking good involves eating carbs... Ask any bodybuilder. I used to be on a no-carb diet, but as long as you exercise regularly you can have carbs. The fuck with sex!

    *raises hand*
I haven't worked out in a week, and ain't gonna workout again for about 2-3 more days.
Then I'm gonna workout 3-4 days super-hard, then take another week or so off.
I control my weight by eating healthy. The workouts are to maintain a strong body.

I fail to see the correlation being one's self looking good and the determination of "hot sex" I'm sure if you were to look like Jabba, but were fucking Ryan Reynolds, you would still be calling it "hot sex".

    Dude your name is Seedlover.

    Seedlover.

Anyhoo, there are bodybuilders, like one I saw on Bodybuilding.com that I'm too lazy to find, that engage in food eating contests. They may have the genetics but I think they said if I remember correctly that it's the work in the gym that let them look that way.

I've never understood the concept of low carbs. You need carbs. Just eat the ones that are good for you and stay away from the crap. I make sure I have carbs with every meal and I eat six times a day.
