Leading Republican, To Introduce Strict Gun-Control Legislation

Rep. Peter King, a Republican from New York, is planning to introduce legislation that would make it illegal to bring a gun within 1,000 feet of a government official, according to a person familiar with the congressman's intentions.

If they arent willing to risk guns around them, then they should pass laws to protect us all! Slimy bastards!

if it makes people keep them away from political events, its a good idea.

It may have some constitutional problems.

But if its on federal property it could work.

They can declare offices of congressman federal property.

The 30 round magazine needs to go. ( 6 rounds is all you should need)

People have a right to do their job and be safe. Politicians are public figures, you are not, thus legislations should be in place to protect them while in their job, look at all the nutcases here that are so full of hate towards anything that even leans top the right. An ex president still gets security, after their term has come to an end, do you get security to go out in public or to be safe in your home.

    No, I agree with this.

When America and Americanism stop effecting my country, I'll stop having an opinion, and until then, I have a right to one, and don't need your permission to do so; thank you very much; oh go tell that to passive and aggressive.

Remember when freedom ends in America that will effect Oz. When America gets a cold it can infect the rest of the world with pneumonia, thus we have a right to an opinion, on things American.icon_wink.gif

When the Congress takes own the very heavy security screening we have to go through to enter its precincts and allows anyone to carry guns in the Capitol and Congressional office buildings I will believe they are sincere in their devotion to the 2nd Amendment and not just pandering for the gun vote.
