    Hey guys,

Yeah the opposition, with Hezbollah have retired from the cabinet. The reason is the international tribunal for the assasination of the former Primer minister Rafic Hariri.

The opposition, including Hezbollah, say that this tribunal is out to get them, with the US and Israel backing it up. And once the tribunal dleivers its verdict, possible clashes may arise inside the country. So to stop that, they retreated from the ogvernment to make it lose its legality in the country.

Now the government can't accept the decision of the tribunal, whatever it is. But on the ground, it is not that bad. The day to day life isn't affected. It has always been this complicated here in Lebanon.

We are a 4,000 sq miles / 10,000 sq km country, with 4 million people, 17 religious denominations between christians and muslims, with palestinian refugees on our land, and greedy neighbors on our borders.

So now we are waiting for the president of the country to initiate the talks to form a new government...

That's the situation in a nutshell until now icon_smile.gif

Well man, both parties are fucking each other. I don't believe this move will change anything. On Monday the parliament will begin the discussions to form the cabinet.... AGAIN.

It was just a preemptive strike from the opposition (Not just Hezbollah, the opposition has parties from different political tendencies), so now we wait to see what will the tribunal's verdict be and how our politicians will deal with it.
