I actually like to just eat imitation lobster (i.e. pollock with lobster flavor)--it's basically fish that I can just eat right out of the fridge. It' has no fat and has a decent amount of protein (8g/1 serving=85 grams which is about 6 small chunks).

    Anybody like it too?

If you like it, it is fine. Why not?

You might also want to try monkfish. You may see it called monkfish tails.

Poach lightly and treat as lobster. The taste is very close.

I've heard that because of the artificial taste, it's not good. But all I can find from the labeling is that it's just fish with some coloring.

I'll try the monkfish...but the whole point was that I can pull it out of the fridge without heating in the microwave.

No! It's disgusting. The imitation Crab is OK but watch out for the best before dates.

I've found that Monkfish is the closest to tasting like lobster. The only bad thing is when baking it, it smells like incredibly like bad, funky ass. Makes the whole house smell! haha... but once baked and all the windows are open and you have fumigated(sp) the house, dipped in melted butter, its really good!icon_biggrin.gif
