I'm in the process of growing a short beard...never tried it before! Just wanted to grab an opinion from you guys. What do you prefer? Beard, scrufiness or no facial hair?

Beards should be grown whenever they can be. The more fucked up and unkempt the better as long as they're clean.

    Yeah, I have beard-resistance problems.

I like all three but like anything, it depends on the guy. Some wear certain looks well, while others don't. I like the short beard look this guy is wearing, although it may not work on another guy.

Either clean shaven or grown out a little bit, if it's too short and stubbly it's like sandpaper and I end up getting beard burn, not pretty. icon_confused.gif

And I concur, the guy in that picture is beau-ti-fuuul.

Scruffiness! There's something about stubble scraping against my face...

I like the way the slightly unshaven look fits on the right guy, but not crazy about the way it feels.

Waking up to a man with a little morning after scruffiness is hot. Not in to full beards though. Makes me think he's hiding something.

partial to beards and gruffness myself. Something about that kind of facial hair that is an absolute turnon.

When I grew a short beard for the first time in 20 years (see profile pic) people said I looked like a bear. Which was fine because I was tired of being mistaken for a kid. Now I'm back to being a kid again. It's all about what you're looking for.

Smooth shaven rocks! Though the scruffy look is usually adorable, it is unpleasant to the touch.

It is a matter of what works.

Beards of all sorts are fine but they need to work and you gotta decide.

    Shaving sucks, but some oughta.

I like any of the choices really. However I do like it when my guy dons a little scruff on him, I love it. His a doctor too, so I try to convince him that all doctors, at least on TV, (i.e.) Grey's Anatomy, tend to be scruffy..somehow he's not convinced.
